Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein:
then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.
Psalm 96:12
I apologize!
then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.
Psalm 96:12
I apologize!
This update on my beloved tree friends, Miss Goldie and Mister Orange, is long overdue. For the past several months, inquiries have come from many of my readers asking about their condition and whereabouts.
Unfortunately, the past few months have brought an overwhelming amount of mail my way after the recent airings of television shows on the "Son of Sam" case. I was deluged with hundreds of letters, far too much than I could handle in my free time.
As for my friends, they are fine. They're both standing in their same spots which they've been occupying for several centuries, or longer. For now, they've chosen to remain camouflaged until autumn.
With summer now here, Miss Goldie and Mister Orange are dressed in green. Their leaves look healthy and bright. They've mixed well with their peers. So at this time they don't stand out. In fact, one wouldn't know who they really are until autumn arrives.
Come fall, they will once again morph into sheer beauty. The leaves of Miss Goldie will go from green to gold. Mister Orange's leaves will turn almost overnight to a kingly looking bright orange. Then, once this process is complete, they will again claim their status as King and Queen of the forest. And rightfully so, I must add.
