"But God knows the way that I take: when
He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
Job 23:10
This I know for sure; the Lord is the Master Gold Maker...
He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold."
Job 23:10
This I know for sure; the Lord is the Master Gold Maker...
His gold is top of the line. But instead of using particles from the earth, He has the amazing ability to make gold from people. But it's a slow process which requires many steps and takes many years to complete.
How do I know this? Because I am one of many millions who've gone through His purification process and continue to undergo it. Yes, He uses every trial and difficulty that He feels is necessary in order to make us into the kind of individuals He knows we could become.
While some of the other things God may use to achieve this are persecution, disappointment, despair, setbacks, and so much more. It's a lifetime of trials and tests that God may choose, or allow, for our benefit, and for our overall spiritual growth.
Just ask Job. He is the example and personification of awful suffering and loss. But his life also epitomizes triumph and hope. Job's life was a demonstration of the power of one's faith. And in the end, God rewarded him with twice as much as he lost during his time of affliction.
I can relate to Job. Although my trials and tribulations were never as extreme as his, they were and are just as real. Job is therefore an example for us. We must at all times be prepared to endure hardship as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, while still allowing His peace and joy to reign in our hearts.
Thus, in the end we will be able to say along with Job, that the trials and difficulties we experienced in life, actually worked out for good. Our faith was strengthened and brought to new heights. While our inner character was developed in ways we may never have thought possible.
