It’s been a very hot and humid summer, for sure. While heavy rains in the past few days have cooled things off a little, the past two weeks had heat index readings of one hundred degrees and higher.
The cell blocks in the prison are not air-conditioned. So for the most part life was unbearable with little sleep, and plenty of sweating. I'm praying for an early fall. New York is absolutely gorgeous in autumn. It’s my favorite season of the year.
The cool, crisp temperatures of fall will be here, and so will relief, from this oppressive weather.
