Things have definitely been challenging of late as the media revisits the "Son of Sam" tragedy...
It's the fortieth anniversary of my arrest, which occurred on August 10, 1977. As is predictable, a number of media outlets are having a field day demeaning and ridiculing me for a past I deeply regret and cannot change.
But they cannot win. It's not that I'm stronger than them. I'm not. However, the Holy Spirit, who resides in me because I am now a child of God, is far greater and more powerful than all the world's media.
It is God who fights my battles. He also provides me with the inner strength and resolve to endure whatever may come against me.
The media is as a little pebble in His sight. And those who oppose the Lord are already defeated. They've already lost the war. While, thanks to my Lord Jesus Christ, I'm the winner. Yes, I will survive the media's onslaught, as I live to fight the good fight of faith for yet another day.
