For as often as you eat this bread,
and drink this cup, you show the
Lord's death till He comes.

Lord's death till He comes.
1 Corinthians 11:26
Today I was able to attend my second communion service at Shawangunk's chapel...
It was a joyful event. Simple, yet poignant. Thirty-one men assembled together to reflect on the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and upon the wonderful promise of His return.
To my surprise, I was asked to carry the tray containing the bread, which represented the broken and bruised body of the Lord. Messiah Jesus went to Calvary's cross willingly. He shed His blood for the sins of mankind. Roman soldiers left Him a beaten, bloodied mess. All that suffering for us!
Thankfully, death could not stop the Lord, and the grave could not, keep Him. Neither can the devil prevent the Lord from one day coming for His church. Nor from coming a second time in order to rescue Israel and save the world from annihilation in the day of Armageddon.
"Even so, come, Lord Jesus, come" (Revelation 22:20).
