Going Forward

But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and
​reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward
the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

I've been staying busy answering letters and doing the work of the ministry...

Writing is something I enjoy. In addition, on several occasions I was asked by the church's leadership
at Shawangunk to help by opening a service with a congregational prayer, or by singing a song or two. While at other times I would help set up the chairs, or put them away. But for the most part, I've been attending the services and studies without any particular role, and this is fine with me.

In fact, this is the way I want it. I've no desire at this time to be in a position of responsibility. I've no interest in taking on a leadership position, as I had done for many years while I was at my previous facility. God, I believe, wants me to rest in Him and allow for a season of refreshing and re-strengthening.

Otherwise, I'm okay. God is with me. However, I continue to shed tears of sorrow having to leave behind a fine group of godly men at Sullivan. Now I must go forward in my walk with the Lord.
