Letters

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and

I enjoy writing letters to my fellow Christians with the hope of encouraging them in their own service to the Lord...

​So today I sent off several letters, one of which is headed to a small church in the settlement of Cambridge Bay, an Inuit community in Canada's province of Nunavut. It's a remote place that's far north of the Arctic Circle. But God has an active fellowship in Cambridge Bay of brothers and sisters who love Him, and love one another.

I also sent a letter to my friend, Floyd, to again extend my sympathy to him and his family at the loss of his stepson, Zachary. The unexpected loss of this young man - shot to death at the age of nineteen - is no doubt devastating beyond words.

During yesterday's chapel service, we all stood as one body in Christ to pray for Floyd and his loved ones, asking in part that the Holy Spirit will continue to comfort their grieving hearts. Truly, my God is a God of hope.
