Having the desire to serve the Lord while one is in prison is not an easy task...
Of course, being a disciple of Jesus Christ is never easy, no matter who you are or where you live. In here, however, it's like being a soldier who's been assigned to a small, isolated outpost that's located deep within enemy territory.
This can be both discouraging and rewarding. Discouraging, because one must witness copious amounts of blatant sin and wickedness. Yet, rewarding whenever one sees his fellow inmates coming to faith in Christ.
Either way, it's a challenge to live for the Lord when you're locked up. And if not for God's grace and the strength He imparts to His servants each day, I could never successfully serve Him in this place.
Today, I can say in faith that I am "more than a conqueror" through my Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37).
