And even those who love the Lord and have placed our faith in Jesus Christ get no special pass when it comes to dying. In fact, other than those Christians who will be alive when Christ comes for His church to remove us from the world in an event known as the rapture, every single person that's alive must face his date with death.
But, thankfully, while death can be a painful process, it is by no means a grim event for the child of God. Rather, it is a victory because it means leaving behind these tired and aging bodies, and immediately entering into the presence of the Lord Himself. What can be better than this? To be with Jesus is to be in glory, forever.
Because I have trusted in Christ, the sting of death has already been removed. For me, death will mean victory. It will result in my release from prison. It will mean going home to my God. Amen!
