Today, the thought came to me that I should always have a humble appreciation...

Today, the thought came to me that I should always have a humble appreciation...
...of who Christ is as I meditate on all the benefits and responsibilities that come with salvation. The gift of eternal life is free because Jesus paid the price for my redemption. Forgiveness of my sins is free, too.
Nevertheless, I am ultimately accountable to the Lord because He alone has chosen me, and called me to be His child. In addition, the Lord requires of me that I bring forth much spiritual fruit, which of course I can only do by the indwelling ability of the Holy Spirit and as I yield to Him. Surely Christ does not want me (or any Christian) to bury my talents and gifts or to waste time.
Today, I came to a heightened realization that every minute of my life is precious.
