Take therefore no thought of tomorrow: for tomorrow will
take care of itself. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:34
Fear and worry can put a person into an early grave…
This is a documented fact, and if fear and worry doesn’t kill you, they could certainly make you sick.
Fear and worry can affect the immune system, and thereby open someone to all kinds of medical problems and diseases. Everything from catching a cold or the flu, to raising one's blood pressure, to bringing on a heart attack or stroke, or a nervous breakdown. They could make someone more susceptible to developing cancer, as well.
The Bible even speaks about a time when things may get so bad on earth that men's hearts will fail them due to fear. But for the man or woman who has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, and who fully trusts in His words, their hearts could be at peace even in the darkest and most difficult of circumstances.
Time and again, and all throughout the Scriptures, there are stories of men and women of deep faith who triumphed over their adversaries and hardships, who lived in states of mental and spiritual peace because they knew the Lord, and placed their lives into His hands.
I want to live the same way - having peace in the midst of life's storms, always resting in His goodness, knowing the Lord is watching over me and that He will always provide for my every need.
As Jesus told His disciples in the "fear not" passage of the Scriptures, "Fear not... for even the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear not... you are of more value than many sparrows" (Matthew 10:28-31).
