Reunited

Since my return to the hospital on Saturday, I was fortunate to have been reunited with the same worn and torn Bible that I had during my initial stay in the hospital...

Now it's safely back in my arms, courtesy of a kindhearted correction officer who went to the battered bookcase to get it for me. It remains the only Bible on the ward.

This trusty Bible has seen better days, I'm sure. But now it looks as if it survived a bomb blast, and a tornado as well. It's still a Bible, however. It's missing some pages, but until I leave here, it's mine.
