This past Friday, I was returned to the prison and placed in the infirmary for observation...
It was a boring weekend of mindless confinement, but yesterday, thankfully, the prison's doctor allowed me to return to my cell in the general population.
I was also given my property. Since I was in the hospital, all my belongings had gotten bagged and placed in storage. This is routine procedure whenever an inmate leaves the facility for an extended period of time. But to my surprise, when the moving wagon came into the cell block with my property, some of my neighbors rushed over and unloaded everything for me. I didn't ask them to do this. It was an act of kindness, and things like this normally don't happen.
Although I'm now back in the population, I also have medical restrictions. While I can walk about the facility, I'm restricted from lifting anything that weighs more than five pounds. I'm not allowed to go up and down flights of steps, and I cannot go to the gym, but I can go to the outdoor recreation yard, and to the chapel.
