Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old
things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

In other words, it is time to say goodbye to bad memories and regrets. Not that one ever completely forgets those things, but I'm not to dwell on them excessively.
In my mind, I envisioned a car. It can either go forward or in reverse, but not both ways at the same time. People are like that, too. I cannot deal with the present, nor can I properly plan for the future, if I'm stuck in the past, agonizing over it.
So once again, the Lord reminded me, as He's done so often, that it is time to say goodbye to what cannot be changed or fixed. One must not live a life dominated by sorrow. And while every one has at least something to be sorry and regretful about, such things must not be allowed to fester from within, and thereby cause one's soul to sicken.
Today the Lord, through His word, reminded me that I am a new creation. Now I need to live like it. It's time to say goodbye to the old, and say hello to the new.
