I will say of the Lord, His my refuge and
my fortress: My God; in Him I will trust.

my fortress: My God; in Him I will trust.
Psalm 91:2
Psalm 91 is what the Lord has given me as this year's special Scripture...
At the start of every year, I always ask the Lord to provide me with a particular Bible verse or passage, along with a related theme, to guide and encourage me throughout the year.
In the past, some of these Scriptures were 2 Corinthians 5:17 (Seeing myself as Jesus sees me); Psalm 107:2 (Tell more people than ever before what Christ has done for me); Micah 7:18-20 (God has thrown my sins into the sea never to be remembered anymore); and Luke 5:1-11 (by faith launch out into more challenging opportunities).
This year, it's the assurance of God's protection in whatever trials, challenges and difficult situations I may have to face as the year progresses. Thus, He is apparently reminding me beforehand that His love will continue to rest upon me. That I will be okay no matter what comes my way from the Adversary.
The Lord will continue to be my guide, shield and strong tower against the storms that are ahead. He is my deliverer right now, and He will be so in the future as well.
