Things have been going well within the body of Christ here at Sullivan Correctional Facility...
We've had some recent decisions for Christ, which is always a big encouragement. Oftentimes, it seems, there are more seasons of spiritual dryness than there are fruitful ones, when these men fish for souls but catch nothing. So having men surrender to Jesus when the gospel is shared, is a blessing. Even the angels in heaven celebrate whenever this happens (Luke 15:7 & 10).
In addition, we've been seeing a modest increase in the number of men attending our weekend worship services and weekday Bible studies. This of course could be attributed, in part, because it's winter, and it's cold outside. Hence, fewer guys going to the outdoor recreation periods and opting for the warmth of the chapel instead. But whatever the reasons, we're glad more guys have been showing up.
