The Lord is good, a strong hold in
the day of trouble, and He knows
them that trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7
I thank my Lord for bringing me safely through another year...
the day of trouble, and He knows
them that trust in Him.
Nahum 1:7
I thank my Lord for bringing me safely through another year...
...while I look forward to what He may have for me to do for Him in 2013.
Last year had an array of challenges for me, emotionally and spiritually. My beloved spiritual mother, Grace, passed away in Australia last January. My Dad passed away in March at the age of 101, while a friend’s nineteen-year-old son was gunned down by thugs in June.
In addition, over the summer, the media revisited the so-called “Son of Sam” case because this past August 10th was the 35th anniversary of my arrest. The New York Daily News (reporter Tanyanika Samuels) did a fair, professional and awesome job with the story. Nevertheless, it was painful for me to relive, if only briefly, those terrible days of satanic madness and evil.
Now, however, it is time to move on. Unfortunately, there are bad things in my past that cannot be undone or changed. This is true with everyone. Every person has at least one thing they’ve either said or done that they regret, which cannot be fixed or rectified.
So for me, right now, it is time to live for the present, and to look with the eyes of hope to my future. And I do have a good future. And it involves serving the Lord no matter where I am.
