It is now a new year. Last year at this time, I wrote in my journal about "Operation Smoking Typewriter..."

It is now a new year. Last year at this time, I wrote in my journal about "Operation Smoking Typewriter..."
By the grace of God, I continue on with my writing, and my trustworthy typewriter continues to handle all the work I give it. Somehow, it puts up with me. Most days I'm behind my machine for several hours. While some days, it's even longer.
But aside from this, my heart has been heavy. While I am eager to see what the Lord will have for me to do in 2010, I sense that there will be many difficult days ahead for the United States. I am certain that I am seeing the end of this great nation.
To put it bluntly, I feel I am watching as the United States of America slowly dies. I believe we are on a downward slide toward destruction. This is my opinion, and I hope I am wrong. But history shows us that civilizations come, and then they go.
Nevertheless, the Lord has promised that, in almost every place on earth, He has a remnant. There are those who truly love God, who worship Him with grateful hearts. They likewise look to the Lord for their help, and He has promised to be with them even unto the end of the age. Amen!
