The average American has no time to appreciate the little things in life…
They have no time, and probably no interest, in watching ants as they work and socialize with one another. Their community-oriented teamwork is much to be admired and copied. We could learn a lot from them.
Nor do we have the time to watch the wasps, with caution, of course, as they build their nests, even using their own saliva, and having to build without hands. Insects skilled at a level of craftsmanship that was put into their DNA by a wise Creator.
We have no time in our busy "on the go" lives to pause long enough to admire the beauty and the intricacies of God's handiwork. His cleverness at designing millions of creatures, big and small.
One sentence, which is part of a Cherokee Indian Nation prayer, says that whatever God puts in place, it is there for a reason. He has a purpose for every creature, planet and season. He has a place for me, for you, and for everyone else.
How awesome is my God! His ways are beyond our finite understanding. But we are too busy to observe and admire what He has made for us. We've no time for Him, and it is too bad.
