There's been a lot of misinformation on the Web and in the news media with regard to my hospitalization...
Right now I am doing well, and I'm on the mend. For the most part, my life has returned to the routines and rigors of prison.
While the bypass surgery was tough and scary, and done with great personal risk - after all, some never survive the operation - I went through the surgery okay. There was one close call, but I survived.
Now it's a matter of healing and getting my strength back. I know everything will come to pass in due time, but I was thankful to both the hospital and prison personnel for not giving any information to the public and the media other than the fact that I was hospitalized for a heart condition. They respected the rules that private medical information is a must. It's called patient confidentiality.
