I was happy to have off this morning, although I had to report to work this afternoon...
However, with the morning off, I was able to write several letters to friends. Among which
was a letter to my friend Fred, in Texas. I thanked him for his prayers, and for the Scriptures he provided me with in his last correspondence. He encouraged me greatly.
Fred knows I'm facing a difficult summer with the anticipation of unwanted media attention due to it being the fortieth anniversary of my arrest. And of special concern is the now in the works FOX-TV miniseries. I have to confess that when I first learned of it in September 2014, I was deeply stressed and despondent. I had a lot of internal grief. I still do. But over time my attitude has changed to, "Who cares?"
The media, along with the entertainment industry, do whatsoever they please. I've no say so in any of this. Thus, all I can do is wait to see what will happen as I continue to pray for the families of those who lost a loved one during the "Son of Sam" shooting spree, or were greatly injured by my criminal acts.
I pray these individuals will not be further injured and traumatized once this media stuff resurfaces and gets tossed back in their faces. I feel bad for them. Their suffering continues. I'm so very sorry.
