By God's grace I continue to adjust to life at Shawangunk...
My first approximately ten months here seems to have passed quickly.
The fellowship within the Christian community has been good. The men have been welcoming and accepting of me, and for this I am grateful. However, as with prison life in general, some of them are by nature reserved and aloof, while others are suspicious and distrustful, especially around new guys. They're not as quick to warm up to a new face.
But I am pleased, as well, to see the number of men attending Bible studies to be increasing. Lately we've had to set up extra chairs in the aisles of the chapel to accommodate everyone. This is a good sign. I know God is stirring hearts, and it is encouraging to see Him at work.
