More snow! A sizeable amount of snow fell yesterday...
In my estimation, upwards of eight inches came down. It was the biggest snowfall thus far. But it was not all that impressive by the standards of the Hudson Valley.
However, even without the snow, I usually go outdoors in the evenings when I don't have a Bible study class scheduled, or a veterans meeting. I'm allowed to stay outdoors from six to 10 PM, if I so desire, or I can go back inside after a minimum of ninety minutes.
The brisk weather is invigorating and refreshing. It provides the opportunity for times of quiet contemplation, as not many of the men opt for the yard in the dead of winter. While walking and doing calisthenics helps to keep my blood pressure down, it's also a great way to reduce stress. Sometimes a friend will come out and join me. Then I will have someone to walk and talk with. For me, the outdoor recreation yard is a place for solace.
