The following are portions of a letter I sent to a friend in San Bernardino, California...
His city suffered a tragic loss of lives, with many injured, after a terrorist attack which made headlines recently. The chapel fellowship here at Sullivan Correctional Facility has been lifting up those who were impacted by this event.
"Warm greetings to you in the name of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I pray all is well with you, and I pray for those in your community who lost a loved one, or were injured in the recent terrorist attack in your city. May the Holy Spirit help and comfort those who are in mourning. May more people than ever in the San Bernardino area begin to call upon the name of the Lord for strength, peace and salvation... "As for me, I have been through many trials of late. But this is to be expected. The Lord said we would have these things. But He added to be of 'good cheer' because He has overcome the world (John 16:33)... "God bless you, dear brother. Keep the faith. We serve a God who truly loves us and gave Himself for us that we might be saved and redeemed, and forgiven of all our sins. Have a wonderful day in Christ." |
