For the past several weeks, the Lord has been giving me a handful of mostly well-known Scripture passages in order to encourage my spirit and give me clarity as I face a slew of decisions that I need to make...
Two of these passages are Isaiah 26:3-4 and Isaiah 43:18-19. The first one deals with having God's peace of mind and not becoming stressed or overly anxious, while the second encourages me to place my focus upon the Lord rather than on things relating to my past, that God is doing something new and wonderful in my life, even at this very moment. And while I cannot always see these good things taking place, they are happening. One day I will see it, and I will be very happy.
The world can be like a journey through a dark and ugly wilderness. But even in the midst of the darkness, the Lord will lighten my path. He will make a way where there seems to be no way. The Lord will, and already is, giving me hope when others say all is hopeless.
Amen!
