Sharing & Caring

In the Scriptures the Lord Jesus commanded His disciples to "Go into all the world" and preach the gospel to everyone with whom they possibly could (Mark 16:15)...

Today our assignment is the same. It has never changed. However, due to incarceration, I am physically restricted from going very far. Therefore this place is my primary mission field.

And along this line, today I had some good opportunities to share my faith in a quiet and respectful way with two of my fellow inmates. Although both are already believers in the Lord, they were in need of encouragement as each has been trying to deal with feelings of depression.

So this afternoon I was able to speak with Johnny and Chris. We read our Bibles together and then we each prayed. This made for a spiritually productive day.

God is good. I am thankful for the occasion to help these men in a time of emotional difficulty. Thus once again proving the Lord can and oftentimes does use the "foolish things" of the world (like myself) to bring comfort to others, and to show them that He truly cares for their souls.
