Baal is Dead

And they brake down the image of Baal,
and brake down the house of Baal, and
made it a draught house unto this day. 
2 Kings 10:27

The Old Testament is filled with stories of those who worshiped and served pagan deities, and how these gods of the nations tried to compete with the God of Israel... 

But, as the above Scripture from Second Kings reveals, all the idols of the heathen are as nothing. ​These dumb idols and the demons who are behind them, with their deceptions and deceiving signs and wonders, are destined to be destroyed. And their counterfeit miracles will be exposed.

Even Satan, himself, will be cast alive into a "bottomless pit" for a thousand years. Afterwards, however, he will be released for a brief while. But then he will be thrown into what the Bible calls, the "Lake of Fire" where he will be tormented day and night, forever (Revelation chapter 20).

Such will be the final end of all those who set themselves against the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Yes, all who trust in idolatrous images that are made of wood and stone which can neither speak, nor hear, shall be put to shame. Like Baal, they're lifeless. But blessed are those who trust in the Lord.
