Being confident of this very thing, that He
who has begun a good work in you will carry
it to completion in the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6
God always finishes what He starts...
who has begun a good work in you will carry
it to completion in the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6
God always finishes what He starts...
Of this I am certain. And for whatever reason, the above Scripture from the apostle Paul's letter to a church that was once located in a city in Greece known as Philippi, has been on my mind and heart all week. So I have been sharing it in many of the letters I send out.
When writing to friends, I usually start my letters by putting a Bible verse or a short Scripture passage at the top of the first page of a letter. And Philippians 1:6 is a good verse for every follower of Jesus Christ to keep locked in his or her heart, especially when we face seasons of discouragement and disappointment.
This verse, consisting of just one sentence, speaks volumes about my heavenly Father's ability to keep me eternally saved from the moment I was "born again" when I first trusted in Christ for salvation. And He will continue to keep me saved until it is time for me to leave this earth, and to enter heaven. Then, and only then, will His work be done. God's work, in my behalf, will never fail.
That's comforting to know.
