Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen
your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Psalm 31:24
As I shared in my previous entry, I am seeking the Lord's strength for 2024...
your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.
Psalm 31:24
As I shared in my previous entry, I am seeking the Lord's strength for 2024...
Last year brought many trials and challenges, and many tough days. But through faith and with help from the Lord, I endured them all. However, for now what I need above all else is a time for rest and recuperation, both physically and mentally. So I hereby declare the month of January as a season for refreshing.
Just ask any battle weary soldier what he needs, and he will say a hot meal and a hot shower, and some time away from the front lines. It's a reasonable request. Therefore, I will try my best to set aside more time for fresh air and exercise, and more time for prayer and Scripture reading.
Yet, knowing myself, the hardest part will be having the self-discipline to stick to this. As my closest friends know, I am not good at being still and allowing myself time to rest and mend. So this will be a personal challenge, Yet I will still be involved in the work of the ministry and in teaching Bible studies. And I will continue to answer my correspondence, which I enjoy doing. I will just slow the pace down a bit to allow for self-maintenance.
This is all for today. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. Nothing can ever separate us from God's love (Romans 8:38-39).
