I am deeply grateful for the many kind and encouraging comments I have received over the years from the readers of my journal…
I likewise thank God for the precious opportunity to not only write a journal, but to have people from all walks of life read it.
As a voice from behind the walls, I've been able to provide spiritual inspiration as well educate my readers as to what prison is really like. I also have the opportunity to share about my life from childhood to the present, and hopefully correct the volumes of misinformation and the inaccurate stories that claim to be about me. These false narratives have unfortunately been in circulation for several decades now.
I pray my story will inspire readers to seek a relationship with the Lord. I think there are lots of individuals who have lost hope to the point where they're also losing the will to live. How sad that life for them has more sadness than joy. God did not create humanity to live this way.
From the limited data I can find, drug overdoses, alcoholism and suicide are on the rise. Lives are being lived in quiet desperation as feelings of fear and hopelessness are now affecting multitudes.
Surely, and especially at this time, more stories of forgiveness, redemption, and hope need to be heard. Everyone needs hope, and hope has many voices awaiting the chance to speak.
"The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary..." (Isaiah 50:4).
