This year was exceptionally challenging on many fronts, especially in the realm of the media and the entertainment industry. For more than forty years now, the “Son of Sam” product has been a convenient item to market. Sadly, it doesn’t take much to capture peoples’ attention these days
and keep them amused. And in some instances, I would be bold enough to use the term “dumbed-down.”
There were other challenges as well. But as is always the case, I have learned to put up with and endure all things by the grace of God. It is the Lord who strengthens me, and He has over the years taught me how to allow various negative happenings and events to bounce off me. As boxers often say, “Shrug it off.”
This does not mean that such negative things don’t hurt. They do. Some of them hurt a lot. But again, like a professional boxer will do, whenever he gets knocked down, as long as he doesn’t get knocked out, he gets back up to fight another round.
