For we walk by faith,
not by sight.

I am now in the Intensive Care Unit recovering from surgery...
not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7
I am now in the Intensive Care Unit recovering from surgery...
I thank God I made it through, but I'm feeling weak and tired. I've been sleeping a lot, and I'm on
oxygen for much of the time.
Caring nurses come daily to check up on me and change the bloody gauze bandage which covers the area where I was cut open, so the doctors could get to my heart. It's a vertical wound about seven inches in length. Although they sewed me back together, it's going to slowly bleed for at least a few more days, so I've been told. It's ugly to look at.
But by the grace of God and the skills of the medical staff, I'm still alive. I'm also without my little safety pen (see image). It's back in my room. However, I've committed the event to memory. So when I get back to my room, I'll grab my pen and a handful of paper towels, and will write what you're reading now.
