As the year comes to a close, I wish to thank all those who pray for me...
I also want to thank God for my fellow Christians who are involved in some form of jail or prison
ministry. It is not an easy field to labor in. Therefore, may their rewards in glory be great (Hebrews 6:10).
Yes, the Lord is at work behind prison walls because He is not willing that anyone be lost forever in a Christless eternity, but would instead come to a place of repentance and faith in Jesus, and be saved (2 Peter 3:9).
I pray for the victims and families of my own crimes, as well. I know my violent acts have caused pain and grief to many people. But the Scriptures let me know that Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted, and help all those who have been wounded by life's cruel blows (Luke 4:18-19).
Lastly, I wish to send my condolences to the family of "Mama Charlotte" who passed away a few days before Christmas. Charlotte was one of my spiritual mothers. She was a dear friend and sister in Christ whom I have known for more than twenty years. Charlotte was a woman who loved God and loved people. She has since moved on to join her husband, Dick, in eternity. "Goodbye, Mom. We'll meet again."
