We are still without a Protestant Chaplain...
Our former chaplain, who was a true man of God, retired in December 2010. Yet as I have shared in several previous journal entries, he has never been replaced. Nevertheless, our congregation has found considerable favor with both God and men. Even without a chaplain prison officials here at Sullivan have allowed us to continue all our worship services and Bible studies. Such a thing would be unheard of in any other maximum security facility.
Fortunately, we have some caring volunteer ministers who come here, too. But they're not here all the time. Sickness, family matters, vacations, car trouble or bad weather will keep them away. Still, all our scheduled activities will go on. Truly I can say with absolute certainty that with the Lord all things are possible.
