"The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all that be bowed down" (Psalm 145:14)…
God is gracious and merciful. He is tenderhearted towards those who have stumble along the path and fallen. The Lord is like a loving father who, while sometimes having to discipline His children, never stops believing the best for us, and loving us. He knows we are flesh, and He knows that without Him, we are weak and helpless.
While some may enjoy good physical strength, which is a blessing, I believe the Lord is more interested in one's having strong faith. Physical strength is of little use when fighting a spiritual battle against an unseen enemy. What counts is strong faith. But this can only come by reading and studying, and by hearing the word of God. "So then, faith comes through hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17).
In the very tumultuous and troubled times we are living in today, we need to have an enduring faith that will allow us to overcome all of life's uncertainties and hardships. All told, Messiah Jesus will never give up on those who belong to Him. Even if I were to fall and stumble and become a victim of sin, I can call upon the Lord and He will hear me. Jesus will pick me up, wash me off with His own blood, and set me on my way. One never needs to lose hope or think he or she is beyond forgiveness. I hope this encourages someone.
