There was a time when I was spiritually lost, tormented, delusional and confused...
Even though I was able to function to an extent, I was not in my right mind. This is not an excuse, nor is it an appeal for sympathy.
I don't need anyone to feel sorry for me. I needed salvation, and I received it the moment I repented of all my sins and crimes and placed my faith in the Lord Jesus. I know God has forgiven me.
Furthermore, Jesus has set me free from the mental bondage I'd been living in. I was oftentimes depressed and suicidal. I felt trapped with no way out. But my deliverance would come. Christ came to my rescue. He broke the chains which had me bound to sin and Satan.
Since then, I have long ago renounced the pact I made with the devil. It was a foolish and stupid thing to do. I allowed him to use me as a pawn, and as a weapon to cause harm to other people. I regret this more than words alone could ever express.
Today I can declare that Jesus not only saved me from a burning hell, but from self-destruction and self-hatred, as well. If He could do this for me, He can and will do the same for anyone who places their faith in Him. The Lord broke the chains, and I am thankful that He did.
