I plan on going outdoors on this Saturday morning…
I need my walking time as well as the renewing and empowering effects of fresh air and sunshine.
Prison is an environment that could leave you drained of strength. Its atmosphere is oftentimes charged with anger and negativity. So, I try to stay focused on God, and His word.
Incarceration, I believe, has also allowed me to better appreciate the work of the Holy Spirit. He's the One who provides me with the inner strength and the mental resolve to keep me moving towards my goal.
My goal? I'm not concerned about getting into heaven, because Christ has already made provision for me to enter into glory when He shed His blood on the cross for my sins. My redemption and my place in heaven has already been taken care of.
My goal, therefore, is in becoming more like Jesus in conduct and character. Faith, love, courage, strength, and hope. My aim is to develop these traits more and more. This is the will of God for my life.
