Run to Jesus

Come unto Me, all you that labor and are
​heavy laden, and I will give your rest.

God always knows how to encourage me whenever I need it... 

I received a letter from a pastor friend who shepherds a church in North Carolina. He told me that six young persons received Jesus as their Savior during a ministry outreach that was being held in his church a few weeks ago. I was happy at the news. Heaven was happy as well (Luke 15:7).

This pastor knows I have a concern for our youth. It was back in 2002, if I remember correctly, during an interview with the Focus on the Family radio network, when I said that if young people knew how much Jesus Christ loves them, they would run to Him.

The Lord is always eager to forgive and restore all who come to Him with hearts of repentance, and with sincere faith. This is exactly what He did for me. A man whom many thought had no hope and no chance to receive forgiveness, did so, and has been restored. That individual is me.

Therefore, I will proclaim this truth every chance I get. That Jesus saves! If He could forgive a sinner like me, He could and will do the same for all who call upon Him. He did not reject me, and He will not reject you.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
