It appears that I've made it through another storm...
It was a big one, too, and prolonged. The fortieth anniversary of my arrest is over. There was lots of media coverage, and I was baffled and disturbed by it. Much of it was sensationalized, which I feel was unnecessary. But now, thankfully, it's headed out to sea. This is the best way I can describe it.
For me, a season of rest and refreshing has begun, as the whole ordeal has taken a lot out of me. Of course, there will be other storms to come. Every disciple of the Lord must encounter them. But the victory comes when, by the grace of God, we endure the trials and storms. Each one makes me stronger, and this is a good thing because true spiritual strength is the most important strength of all.
