As I wrote in my journal for August 12th, of the eleventh of this month, CBS Television aired my interview...
It was a difficult and challenging event, and I was exhausted afterwards, but I stepped out in faith, trusting the Lord that what I had to say would be something of an encouragement to many viewers. My hope was that it would be of inspirational value as well as give people insight into what my life is like all these years later.
And now I am seeing the fruit of the work. Letters have begun to arrive from people from all walks of life. Some are from fellow Christians who've been touched by seeing what God has done for me, while a greater majority of the correspondence is from hurting individuals, their lives damaged by addiction, depression, and disappointments of some kind. Several others have confessed to being involved with some aspect of the occult, and they want to be free of it.
I am humbled that these individuals would write to me in this manner. Truly, my hands are full. I've already begun to respond to each person in accordance with their particular situation. And I've been seeking God's guidance every step of the way as to what to say. Oh, how I thank the Lord that whatever I said during the interview touched these viewers, who've now reached out to me. God is good!
