And whatsoever you do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving
thanks to God the Father through Him.

Since my interview with CBS, letters have begun to arrive from different parts of the country...
The responses surprised me. None have been negative. And while some letters and cards were sent by fellow Christians who wrote to encourage me, many were from hurting individuals who've been wrestling with their own demons, addictions, and problems. Each of these people precious to God.
All told, I am thankful for having had the opportunity to publicly express my sorrow and remorse over the loss of six innocent lives, and the wounding of many others. Also telling viewers of my deepest regret over the Son of Sam tragedy.
For many years, the media has mostly portrayed me as one who gloats over his crimes. But those who watched the program now know this to be untrue.
Also, important was the chance to personally apologize to the victims and their families, and to wish those who are suffering because of my actions all the very best. Added to this, I was able to expose the demonic realm providing words of caution not to get involved in any form of the occult, as there is truly an evil power behind it. That these things are nothing to dabble in or play with.
Furthermore, viewers were able to see that today I am a normal, well-functioning individual who works as a clerk at the prison's library. I also help conduct chapel services and Bible studies.
Millions of CBS's viewers heard me declare my faith in Jesus Christ, and how God will sometimes choose to use for His own good purposes even those who have committed crimes such as murder. I gave the interviewer, Moses and King David as examples of this, as well as that of "Saul of Tarsus."
Saul, in New Testament times, was a Christian-killing zealot who was to become the legendary apostle Paul. He became a devoted disciple of the very Messiah whose followers he once hunted down, and killed.
To have been given the chance to share all this with a huge and mostly secular audience was nothing short of a miracle. It was a victory for both me and the Lord. So I say with confidence, "Mission accomplished!"
