As the assigned worship leader for this morning’s chapel service, I wanted to encourage the men and myself with the Word of God...
So I told them that we need to have God’s Word in our hearts at all times, especially because of the evil and troubled times we’re living in.
I spoke about some of the problems going on inside the facility, such as the tightening of certain rules, and the overall increase in tension which many admitted to feeling of late. How that a knowledge of the Scriptures will instruct us as disciples of Christ how we are to conduct ourselves in a good way, and to cope in every situation.
I also shared how a “spirit of oppression” seems to be hovering over the prison these days. The best antidote is in having a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I’m convinced that our heavenly Father has already given us what we need to overcome all things negative, and to live victoriously with an everlasting hope in the Lord.
