Revelation 21:4a
I have often wondered about this verse, why God Himself would be wiping away the tears from the eyes of His children when we’re already in heaven...

Moreover, this event is recorded in the Bible as occurring immediately after the completion of what is known as the great White Throne Judgment when all Christ rejecters will be judged for their sins, and cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:11-15).
But why the tears in Heaven? After all, this should be the happiest of moments when all those who’ve been redeemed by the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ are being ushered into a new universe that will be free of pain, sickness, sorrow and death.
Yet the tears, I believe, will be for our loved ones who won’t be coming with us. Those whom we love but have never repented of their sins and placed their faith in Christ will be lost, forever. They never received the priceless gift of eternal life, which every one of them could have received for the asking; and thus refusing salvation and rejecting Christ’s invitation, we will never see them again. Hence our tears. But they will only be for a season as God Himself will wipe them all away.
