This is true even if it is only a physical labor, such as setting up chairs in preparation for a worship service or a Bible study, or maintaining the cleanliness of the building where believers gather in the name of Christ. And this is because these are not merely mundane human tasks, although by outward appearance it would seem to be the case. Rather they are deeds that will somehow, perhaps in the most minute way, assist in the furtherance of the gospel or help Christians to be strengthened in their faith, or to increase in the knowledge of God.
Therefore, with this in mind, whenever a work of God is being done, there will be differing degrees of spiritual opposition from the devil. And this is to be expected because the adversary's job is to hinder the church and to wear out the saints.
Thus, anything that is done by and for the Lord requires more than ordinary physical effort on the part of the believer. Although, yes, the body is being put to use, but what I am seeing, then, is that there is a spiritual element/component in operation, even if this element or component is unnoticed and unseen. It is still present, and it is real.
The point being, to accomplish what God has called us to do, we need His strength.
