I am doing much better now, and I believe that I could be discharged soon...
Of course, I'm looking forward to returning to my friends, and even to my own cell with a private sink and toilet. I also miss my typewriter.
Nevertheless, as boring and restrictive as it's been in here, for me, it has been a means for a time of physical and emotional recuperation. My confinement to the Infirmary has served as a respite from an endlessly busy schedule. I've had time for deep soul-searching, too.
Yes, I missed being able to attend my church's family day gathering. Every year I would help to serve the food, and I especially love serving ice cream to the kids. It's something which brings joy to my heart. But I'll just have to wait until next year.
