Waiting on the Lord

I wait for the Lord, my soul doth
wait, and in his word do I hope.
Psalm 130:5  

I continue to look to the Lord for my help...

Whenever there are situations that are too much for me to handle alone, I know I can count on Jesus. He's a friend who sticks close. He will never leave me stranded. It's comforting to know that He is always near.

This past week has brought several encouraging letters my way. Strangers who have been touched by my story of redemption took the time to drop me a line. Their letters were filled with kind words that left my soul in a state of rejoicing.

A minister wrote, "I pastor a church in Ohio and have found your redemptive story, how Jesus turned
your life around, to be an inspiration." He went on to say that he will continue to use my testimony to "bring hope and life to those on the inside and outside."

While a man from Georgia who teaches Sunday school at his local church, wrote telling me how happy 
he was to have come across my story of redemption. And another man, this one from the state of Mississippi, wrote saying basically the same thing. How my story brought joy his way, and now he wants to tell others about what God has done for me.

What can I say but, "Thank you, Messiah Jesus!" My soul is filled with joy and gratitude over this, and so is my heart.
