But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that
curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray
for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you.
Matthew 5:44
As I shared in my previous journal entry, there are people, even organized groups of them, who have been pouring their energy into finding ways to hurt and shame me by spreading lies and outlandish tales about me…

These demonically driven individuals want nothing better than to stop my story of forgiveness, redemption and hope from bringing the knowledge of a merciful and forgiving God to the world.
Yet in spite of their desires to do me harm, I have chosen to forgive them. Although I don't like what they're doing, I will never seek revenge. I refuse to hate these people. In fact, the Lord Jesus himself faced a similar situation. Those who hated him plotted day and night how they might kill him. But in the end Christ said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).
For those who wish me ill will, I pray God will bless their lives with health and prosperity. I pray they will come to know the Lord Jesus as I have come to know him. Historically, those who have been the church's most ardent persecutors have become, once the Lord gets a hold of them as he did a man by the name of Saul of Tarsus, the church's most faithful preachers and evangelists. Saul of Tarsus was transformed into the apostle Paul.
Nothing is impossible with God. I pray that those who despise me today, will become my brothers and sisters in Christ tomorrow.
