I also received a letter from a different person...
He’s a young man who, like me, had been set free from Satan’s grip, and is now living for Christ. Here is a portion of my reply to him:
“I am happy for you, that the Lord not only forgave you, but delivered you from evil and
rescued you from your self-destructive ways, as well.
“Your story reminds me of Acts 26:18, where the apostle Paul, when he was known as the
murderous Saul, was given his call from the Lord. Upon embracing faith that Jesus is the
promised Messiah, and upon his name being changed to Paul, he was to not only
proclaim forgiveness of sin for those who would believe in Jesus, but that they would also
be set free from Satan’s power and control.
"We’re survivors, you and I. If not for God’s mercy, we could very well be in Hell right now,
in flames of torment, and awaiting God’s judgment.
“Most people would not understand this. It’s foolishness to them. But because you and I
know where we came from, and how in our ignorance walked with the devil himself, we can
truly say that not only do we belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, but that we love Him. We now
can praise and thank the Lord with joyful hearts of gratitude. And we possess the peace of
God, as well. Most know nothing about this. So keep looking to Jesus, always, and do not
ever give up and go back to the world...”

P.S. I've included my replies to both letters for AriseandShine.org, so that other readers may get some words of encouragement, as well.
