I received an encouraging letter from a man out west...
Here is my reply to it:
“Thank you for writing and sharing about your life. You mentioned Ephesians 3:20. It’s one
of my favorites.
“I always tell my fellow Christians that the best is yet to come. That while we may have our
challenges and difficulties, as we live out our lives within the limitations of our weak,
earthly bodies, God will continue to work through us. He never gives up on His children.
But unfortunately, we sometimes give up on Him.
“... It was encouraging to learn what God is doing in your life, and about the dark pit He
brought you out of. We were both sinking in sin and headed for self-destruction, that is,
until we each called upon the Lord. He rescued us in our distress, and He washed our sins
away with His own blood. Next, He put a song of praise on our lips, and in our hearts. I
believe, Psalm 40:1-3 pretty much sums it all up.
“Now the most important things are to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, and soul, and
to love our neighbors with compassion and kindness.”
“Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, And this doesn’t happen overnight.
We both need the patience to continue our onward progression in becoming more like our
Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
