Since my heart attack and bypass surgery, I’ve been placed on a medical restriction that prohibits me from having a work assignment...
So this has given me more time to do what I love, writing!
Yet, I am still permitted to attend all the chapel’s services and Bible studies. I can also attend my weekly Veterans group as well as go to the library. In addition, I can go outdoors to the recreation yard, but I am not allowed to lift weights or play any sports for at least one year.
I’m fine with this. Having done various program and work assignments for the past forty years, not having to rush off to a job is a blessing. It’s kind of like being retired, and this is just what the doctor ordered. In fact, it’s what God ordered, as well. Now is my time to renew my strength and to wait upon the Lord for my strength to return. I’m awaiting my full healing, too.
